Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho made his 102nd appearance for the club against Chelsea.

Alejandro Garnacho has established himself as a key part of Manchester United’s present, racking up a century of appearances already.

Only 20-years-old, Garnacho even has a FA Cup Final goal and winner’s medal to his name, and in 2024/25 he has been the team’s most consistent player.

Heading into the game with Chelsea, Garnacho was announced as Manchester United’s player of the month for October.

Garnacho hailed for progress

Alejandro Garnacho’s progress was praised during MUTV’s coverage of the Manchester United vs Chelsea fixture on November 3.

Former Manchester United defender David May praised Garnacho surpassing 100 appearances, commenting: “It is phenomenal, considering his age.”

May added: “He has an abundance of pace and he will score goals. If he gets kicked, he will run at them again. He will always give 100 per cent. He’s a massive part of this club going forward.”

These thoughts were echoed by former United man John O’Shea, who added: “He’s an outstanding. talent.

“The goals he’s got, he’s stepped up to the plate when the team has really needed him. He does get smashed, he is willing to stand up to it, and he’s been a real shining light.”

Garnacho leading scorer

Garnacho did not have a good game against Chelsea, and his wastefulness in possession also appeared to irritate a couple of teammates.

There were some moans among United fans over Garnacho’s finishing a week ago against West Ham too, but the week prior he was clinical, scoring an impressive goal against Brentford.

Garnacho is Manchester United’s leading scorer for 2024/25 with six goals in all competitions.

The Argentine also has a further five assists, taking his goal contributions for the season to 11, more than any of his teammates.

New manager Ruben Amorim has a real gem to work with, and if Garnacho continues his upward progress, the future is very bright.
