Manchester United fans dropped their clear-cut verdict on Alejandro Garnacho after the Argentina winger’s performance against Premier League side West Ham on Sunday.

The Red Devils travelled to the London Stadium hot on the heels of their disappointing Europa League result on Thursday evening in Turkey.

Erik ten Hag’s men led Fenerbahce 1-0 in the first half in Istanbul thanks to Christian Eriksen before Jose Mourinho’s men rallied back in the second half.

Youssef En-Nesyri cancelled out Christian Eriksen’s first-half opener only four minutes into the second half and Erik ten Hag’s side had to settle for a point.

Alejandro Garnacho played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce and the Manchester United star returned to the starting XI for the West Ham clash.

Man Utd star Garnacho vs West Ham

Alejandro Garnacho has been a key player for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag since his emergence from the Premier League club’s youth academy.

The 20-year-old Spain-born winger has made 14 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign and he has scored five times and registered three assists.

Garnacho was deployed in attack for the West Ham match at the London Stadium alongside the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

The United winger was lively in the first half at the London Stadium and saw his curling first-time strike come firing off the bar only two minutes into the match.

However, Garnacho failed to find the back of the net in the first half, despite the clear-cut opportunities that opened up for him in the Premier League contest.

Garnacho remained on the field for the full 90 minutes, but the United winger struggled to make his presence felt in the final third in the second half.

Man Utd fans react to Garnacho vs West Ham

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, made their feelings clear about Garnacho’s display at the London Stadium.

Red Devils supporters complained about the Argentina international’s “shooting technique” in the West Ham clash and Garnacho’s failure to convert in the final third.

Other United fans claimed that Garnacho “wastes” a “number of chances” in a match and that he is more useful as an impact sub over starting in the United XI.

“Garnacho really needs to work on his shooting technique. So annoying,” one fan said.

Somebody else claimed: “Garnacho wastes so [many] chances. Man, work on your shooting, FFS. [Marcus] Rashford on that left wing benefits us way more.”

Another added: “Garnacho’s shooting mechanics are so wrong. Needs work on that ASAP.”

“Garnacho really needs [a] minimum six attempts to score,” a fourth X user tweeted.

While a fifth posted: “The number of chances Garnacho wastes is insane.”

“What has Garnacho done to warrant all these minutes,” somebody else wrote.

A seventh fan commented: “Garnacho is the one wasting chances, while Rashford is the one getting subbed off. I’m sick of this coach.”

And an eight argued: “Garnacho never plays well starting and only ever makes an impact coming off the bench. Giving him 90 minutes week in, week out is beyond stupid.”
