Manchester United fans all saying the same thing about Alejandro Garnacho display vs Leicester, they make bold claim

Ruud Van Nistelrooy took charge of his very first Manchester United game on Wednesday, and it resulted in a 5-2 victory at Old Trafford.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Red Devils made light work of Steve Coopers’ Foxes – with a five-star performance to open the new era at the club post-Erik ten Hag.

The game concluded Manchester United 5-2 Leicester City, with the Old Trafford faithful getting a performance as good as any Ten Hag ever treated them to.

Casemiro was back among the goals, as he opened the rout for United in the 15th minute before also adding the fourth in the 39th minute.

Alejandro Garnacho was also on the scoresheet as he extended his position at the top of the United scoring charts for 2024/25.

Finally, club captain and star player Bruno Fernandes returned to form with a magnificent double which left Leicester’s two goals merely consolation.

Alejandro Garnacho in form for Ruud van Nistelrooy’s managerial bow

Even a taped-up knee cannot keep Garnacho down as he put Leicester City to the sword on Wednesday night under the lights at Old Trafford.

Garnacho has now scored six and assisted four in his 15 games across all competitions so far this season and he truly terrorised his opposite number here.

The 19-year-old Argentine created five chances in his goal-scoring display and was constantly the man United looked to as an outlet on the break.

Van Nistelrooy will feel delighted to have seen Garnacho in flying form, while prospective new United manager Ruben Amorim will have been watching closely we imagine in Lisbon.

With the win, United booked a quarter-final place, where it will be a trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After the game had finished, United fans had plenty to say on X.

With yet another impressive outing, for some United fans, it is now unavoidable how good Garnacho is as he deserves plenty of praise.

One fan went so far as to say: “People say Garnacho shouldn’t be starting for us by the way, he’s a world-class talent.”

Another fan writing on X explained that Garnacho is the main attacking man for United: “Garnacho is consistently United’s biggest threat.”

A third fan put fans who don’t rate Garnacho in their place: “United fans who don’t rate Garnacho doesn’t make sense. Yes, he may be frustrating but he’s 19. If you can’t see the talent/potential then that’s on you”.

“Garnacho is magnificent”, declared one fan rather simply.

Finally, one United journalist and fan could not help but wax lyrical over the 19-year-old: “Garnacho a constant shining light for #mufc this season.”
