Mason Greenwood’s goal for Manchester United against West Ham was a significant one to turn the game in his team’s favour.
Greenwood’s well timed and perfectly executed strike set United on for a win, minutes after Paul Pogba’s equaliser.
The goal was also a momentous one in terms of United’s modern day history.
Greenwood’s goal was his 20th for Manchester United. He has three this season to add to the 17 he netted last season.

He became the youngest Manchester United player to reach 20 goals since Norman Whiteside in 1987, with a 33 year gap in between.
Considering the calibre of young players to feature for United over the years, including Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford, Greenwood’s feat speaks for itself.
He makes United better
Greenwood has an unpredictability about his game which puts fear into defences.
His goal against West Ham was an illustration of him at his best, receiving the ball with his back to goal, he controlled it, spun, and lashed it past the goalkeeper.
At the back end of last season when United’s form peaked, Greenwood was at the heart of it.
If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can get Greenwood producing on a consistent basis, then he will be integral to helping this team reach a new level.
This season United have found it tough to put in strong performance over 90 minutes, instead playing well for patches in games.
Greenwood is one player who at his ruthless best can get United to the standard required.
