Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has become the first player to break the silence on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal.
Rashford sent a two word message paying tribute to Solskjaer.
Rashford paid tribute to Solskjaer as club legend – but there was no accountability taken on behalf of the players in his message.
Legend status not enough
Legend status was no longer enough for Solskjar to get by.
Results at the club had become embarrassing, with a 4-1 loss to Watford following 2-0 defeats to City, 5-0 to Liverpool and 4-1 to Leicester.
United had gained just four points from a possible 21 over the past seven Premier League games.
Rashford started in the defeat at Watford and was substituted at half-time.
The United players have a lot to answer for over over this awful run.
Solskjaer led United to finish second last season, a position already out of reach this campaign.
United had conceded 21 goals in 12 games, keeping just two clean sheets all season.
