Manchester United produced a sizzling performance to beat Istanbul Basaksehir 4-1.
United netted three first half goals and could easily have entered half-time 5-0 up.
Basaksehir pulled a goal back from a second half free-kick and then hit the bar, but United rallied and Dan James added a fourth in injury time.
This was a performance with lots of positives for United. Here is a look at our pick of the best three players on the night…

Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes is United’s leader and he is considered undroppable by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It is easy to see why. His two early goals here set United up to coast to a win.
Fernandes’ first goal was a special one. He lashed the ball in from the edge of the box to score one his best goals for United yet.
He really should have had a hat-trick too. United won a penalty in the first half and instead of scoring his third, he unselfishly handed the ball off to Rashford.
Fernandes even got a bit of rest in too. He was substituted after 59 minutes with a successful night’s work complete.

Donny van de Beek
Donny van de Beek showed he can play with Fernandes, and very effectively too.
The Dutchman played in a deeper role, with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both sitting out injured.
He was effective in both dictating the midfield with his passing, and closing down the opposition with his work rate.
The partnership with Fred was an untested one, and it was one which worked. Against PSG, United may look for a more defensive minded combaination.
On this night it worked, with Van de Beek seizing his opportunity. He should stand a good chance of starting at the weekend.

Marcus Rashford
United took both Rashford and Fernandes off after 59 minutes and it was noticeable.
Rashford started out on the right and he played well. He almost scored after just two minutes.
The England international gave United’s side a real zip, and Basaksehir’s backline did not get a moment’s rest.
His penalty goal took his tally in the Champions League this season up to five strikes from four games.
It was a tough call between Rashford and Cavani here. You could make a case for Alex Telles too.
It is always a good night when it is tough to whittle the best players down to three.
