Manchester United have agreed another loan move, sending Dan Gore out on loan.

2022 FA Youth Cup winner Dan Gore has left Manchester United on a loan deal for the 2025/26 season.

Manchester United confirmed Gore’s exit, with the midfielder rejoining Rotherham United, where he spent a spell last season.

Speaking ahead of the deal confirmation, manager Matt Hamshaw told The Advertiser: “I like his attitude, I like his commitment, I like his tenacity, I like his work ethic, I like everything he represents.”

Gore, 20, made his Manchester United first team debut in 2023 under Erik ten Hag, but has yet to build on his solitary appearance.

Third loan deal is different for Dan Gore

The loan deal is the third loan of Dan Gore’s career, and he simply has not had any luck with his previous two.

After signing for Port Vale in January 2024, Gore suffered an injury on his debut, which ruined the rest of his loan spell, and kept him out of action last pre-season.

Gore eventually agreed a loan to Rotherham in January 2025, where he provided one assist in three games, before suffering an injury.

This third loan spell sees him return to Rotherham where he clearly made a good impression, with the club keen to bring him back.

It is a different loan, with Gore signing the deal before the season, instead of making the move in the January window.

Getting a full pre-season with his new squad, who he is already familiar with, sets Gore up for success during the 2025/26 season.

Gore is a big talent, and he just needs a little good fortune, and we hope his football can do the talking.
