Dan Gore has just completed a loan move to Port Vale from Manchester United.

The 19-year-old midfielder links up with Andy Crosby’s League One strugglers with a serious point to prove away from Old Trafford.

Dan Gore is probably one of the Manchester United academy stars who are within touching distance of the first-team squad. So, this loan spell is vital in showcasing his talents.

That’s why Gore would have wanted to start strong on his debut. Here’s how he got on.

How Dan Gore played for Port Vale on his debut

Gore started the match as a central midfielder in Port Vale’s league clash with Portsmouth, which unfortunately ended in defeat for the Valiants. Portsmouth’s Colby Bishop scored an 88th-minute penalty to give the away side the victory at Vale Park.

Gore played a total of 54 minutes, meaning no goal was scored or conceded whilst he was on the pitch. His debut brought some impressive stats, and although there was nothing groundbreaking, it was a tidy first run-out for his new side.

Not bad from the young man.

Dan Gore definitely has a future at Old Trafford

There are always young talents who head out on loan just in case they start to kick on in their careers from United, but most academy stars always seem destined to leave the club.

There’s something a little different about Dan Gore. The tenacious midfielder has a bit of edge to him and seriously does look like a talent. This loan will do him the world of good, giving him his proper first taste of physical first-team football.

Not a bad start whatsoever. We wish Gore the best of luck with the Valiants for the rest of the season.
