Manchester United youngster Dan Gore made his first team debut in a win over Crystal Palace.
It was the perfect scenario for a debut. 3-0 up with half an hour to go at Old Trafford, Dan Gore was sent on for his Red Devils bow.
Gore, on his 19th birthday, was not overawed. He played a prominent pre-season role and has been used to the big stage since starring in the FA Youth Cup in front of big crowds at Old Trafford in 2022.
He settled straight into the game, enjoying a very competent 30 minutes, completing 26 of 28 passes attempted and creating one goalscoring chance.

Dan Gore performance praised
Dan Gore looked good when he came on. The teenager was bright in and out of possession and helped United to see out the game and keep a clean sheet.
Former Manchester United trainee Luke Chadwick spoke to MUTV and said he liked what he saw of Gore.
He said: “Dan Gore came on tonight, looking at home the second he came on the pitch, moved the ball about very comfortably
“He had a really impressive pre-season, you speak to anyone about him, they say he’s fearless.
“He wants to tackle people, he wants to get close to people, that’s a great trait to have for a central midfield player.”
He added that Gore clearly has the respect of his senior teammates and it was evident on the pitch at Old Trafford.
“You see players like Casemiro, they trust him on the ball, that’s testament to the way he trains, they want him to have the ball.”
Gore makes first step
The circumstances were ideal for Dan Gore to make his debut tonight, also helped by Kobbie Mainoo not being available.
Gore and Mainoo, along with Hannibal Mejbri, prove there is real talent in Manchester United’s academy.
Erik ten Hag will give players chances he feels they deserve it. Gore has clearly impressed him.
