A rising Manchester United talent turned down loan offers to move away in the January transfer window and stayed at Old Trafford under manager Ruben Amorim.

Ruben Amorim’s men will return to Premier League action on Sunday with their trip to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth, with kick-off slated for 2pm UK time.

Manchester United have only five Premier League matches remaining in their lacklustre 2024-25 league campaign and are currently 14th in the league table.

The Red Devils have won only 10 Premier League fixtures in 33 matches so far and Amorim’s side are on course for their worst finish in the league since its formation.

Amorim’s men have lost 15 times in the league this season and their last Premier League outing ended in United’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford last Sunday.

The 40-year-old United manager is attempting to sign off the woeful season on a high note with the Red Devils’ crucial 2024-25 Europa League campaign.

The Red Devils are through to the semi-finals of the Europa League and will face Athletic Club after United knocked French side Lyon out of the quarter-finals.

Harry Amass’ agent breaks silence on the transfer interest for Man Utd talent who is fighting for a place in Ruben Amorim’s first team

Ruben Amorim has rotated his Manchester United first-team squad in recent weeks and the former Sporting CP manager has used players from the youth academy.

Harry Amass has been pushing for a place in the United first team and the 18-year-old left-back has been picking up valuable first-team minutes this season.

The United defender has made four appearances for the senior team in the 2024-25 campaign and Harry Amass has impressed with his United performances at times.

Amass caught the eye of United fans with his display against Wolves after Red Devils boss Amorim played the full-back for the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford.

The United talent’s agent, Jason Mac, has now revealed that Amass was subject to transfer interest in January and the player decided to stay at the Red Devils.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said: “Yes, it’s true. We rejected [this scenario] because we both sat down and agreed with the club that it would be better to stay and fight because opportunities could come.

“The club set out a realistic target and we agreed that we can evaluate all proposals in the summer, depending on what comes.”

Harry Amass’ agent reveals transfer interest from other clubs before the player signed for Man Utd

Harry Amass started his career as part of the Watford youth set-up before United snapped him up for the Red Devils’ youth academy in 2023.

The Red Devils player’s agent has claimed that there were “two big clubs” that were interested in Amass when he was part of Watford’s youth academy.

“Harry had two other choices in the Premier League, two big clubs, and now I know a lot more wish they had come to the table,” Jason Mac said.

“But already at that time, Harry was clear he only wanted to join Manchester United.”

United have won only one of their last five Premier League matches ahead of the Red Devils’ upcoming clash with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
