Manchester United fans made their feelings perfectly clear on Harry Amass after the teenage Red Devils talent’s performance against Wolves in the Premier League.

The Red Devils returned to action on Sunday afternoon only days after Manchester United’s 5-4 comeback win against Lyon in the Europa League quarter-finals.

United knocked Lyon out of the Europa League after their second-leg result at Old Trafford and the Red Devils will meet Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals in May.

Ruben Amorim made changes to his United side for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford after the Red Devils beat Lyon in extra time on Thursday evening.

United and Wolves went into half-time with a 0-0 scoreline on the board, with neither Ruben Amorim’s side nor Vitor Pereira’s side able to break the deadlock.

The Red Devils played well against Wolves for large parts of the contest, but United once again showed their failure to capitalise on their chances in the final third.

Wolves punished United in the second half at Old Trafford and Pablo Sarabia broke the deadlock — and found the winner — after a superb free-kick in the 77th minute.

United manager Amorim was forced to watch on from the sidelines as the Red Devils failed to find a crucial equaliser and Vitor Pereira’s men sealed all three points.

What Man Utd fans had to say about Harry Amass after Wolves’ 1-0 Premier League win at Old Trafford

Ruben Amorim turned to Harry Amass and the former Sporting CP manager made the big decision to start the 18-year-old left-back for the match against Wolves.

Harry Amass has impressed in the Manchester United youth academy and the English talent has been knocking on the door of the Red Devils’ first team.

The United defender has been picking up valuable first-team minutes and Amass made a cameo performance in the 5-4 Europa League result over Lyon on Thursday.

Amass was deployed in the left wing-back role in Amorim’s tactical system for United against Wolves and the academy prospect completed the full 90 minutes on Sunday.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, praised Amass’ display and one Red Devils supporter expects him to become even “braver” with his crossing.

“Amass [was the] best player on the pitch,” a Red Devils supporter said.

Another commented: “Tough result. Lots of positives. Amass and [Tyler] Fredricson ought to hold their heads high. I think Wolves got lucky. We didn’t get any injuries, thankfully. Moving on.”

“Positives: Amass and Fredricson, I think, were brilliant today, huge credit to them,” a third United fan added.

Someone else posted: “Amass looked very tidy, just needs to be braver in finding delivery’s [with the ball], but that’ll come.”

“I’m impressed with Amass. He played really well,” a fifth X user tweeted.

A sixth suggested: “Unpopular opinion, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives from Man United’s performance today. Tyler Fredricson and Harry Amass were excellent today. We’ve had problems scoring goals all season and today was no different.”

And a seventh claimed: “The club have a huge decision to make [regarding] Amorim in the summer, however [it was] nice to see the quality of youngsters coming through… Fredricson [and] Amass [were] superb [and] with bright futures. Even [Ayden] Heaven earlier this season.”

Somebody else wrote: “Harry Amass and Fredricson were great today. Amass, particularly, should start more at LWB and [Patrick] Dorgu at RWB.”
