Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has spoken out on two stars ahead of his side’s forthcoming trip to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are 14th in the Premier League table and Manchester United have won only 10 of their 33 league matches in their lacklustre 2024-25 campaign.
Ruben Amorim’s men lost their 15th Premier League match of the season last Sunday after Wolves beat United 1-0 in their clash at Old Trafford.
United have only five matches remaining in their Premier League season and the Red Devils are level on points with 13th-place Everton and 15th-place Wolves.
Amorim’s hope of salvaging United’s season now relies on the Red Devils’ success in the Europa League, with the Premier League club reaching the semi-finals.
The Europa League trophy would provide Amorim with his first piece of major silverware as United manager and secure his side’s return to the Champions League.
Ahead of their encounter with Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-finals, United will return to Premier League action for the final time in April on Sunday afternoon.

What Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim said about Real Betis winger Antony and Aston Villa forward Marcus Rashford spoke volumes
Antony and Marcus Rashford were two of the high-profile Manchester United first-team players that left Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim in the January window.
Marcus Rashford lost his place in the United XI and the 27-year-old England star completed a loan move away to Aston Villa in February for the rest of the season.
Antony, much like United teammate Rashford, completed a loan move away and the 25-year-old Brazilian winger signed for La Liga club Real Betis in January.
Rashford has had the opportunity to revive his career at Villa Park and the United forward has netted four times and picked up six assists in 17 matches for his side.
Antony has also seen a turnaround in form and the former Ajax star has scored five times and registered four assists in 18 matches for Real Betis during his spell.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Amorim touched on Rashford and Antony amid the United players who will return at the end of the season.
“All the players on loan will return and then the club will decide what to do at the end of the season,” he said, as per the Manchester Evening News.
“The talent of Rashford, the talent of Antony, they all have talent. We are really happy because if you put players on loan, you want them to perform. That is good for us.”
Ruben Amorim couldn’t be clearer about Man Utd’s pulling power in the transfer market ahead of the summer window
Amorim was asked if United’s transfer influence has waned and the 40-year-old Red Devils boss insisted that the club still have an appeal to players in the transfer market.
“It’s Manchester United,” he said.
“What I feel is there are a lot of players that want to play for our club, if you look at our club in the moment with all the problems, changing coach, it looks a little bit of a problem but we have a clear idea and that’s the easiest part to explain for a player.
“It’s Manchester United and every player wants to play for Manchester United.”
The Premier League clash between United and Bournemouth is slated for 2pm kick-off time in the UK on Sunday at the Vitality Stadium.
