Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has broken his silence and dropped a cryptic hint over his future after being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Diallo missed the opening of United’s current Premier League season after he picked up a knee injury during the club’s pre-season tour in the United States last summer.
However, the 21-year-old Ivorian winger made his triumphant return for United before the end of 2023 and featured in the 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
However, Diallo’s future at Old Trafford has been up in the air amid the January transfer window after he didn’t make the United squad for the last two matches.
The former Ivory Coast international was absent from the 2-0 win over Wigan in the FA Cup and the 2-2 Premier League draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag is believed to be an admirer of Diallo, who was signed from Atalanta in 2021, and the United wonderkid is viewed as a long-term prospect at the Red Devils.

Diallo responds to transfer speculation
Diallo spent last season out on loan at Championship side Sunderland and the former Atalanta winger received valuable first-team experience.
The United forward made 43 appearances across all competitions last season and scored 14 times and registered four assists during an impressive loan spell.
According to reports, Diallo had attracted interest from both Leicester City and Southampton while Sunderland were another club linked with him.
However, reporter Alan Nixon posted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that Middlesbrough were ‘winning’ the race to sign Diallo.
It was believed that Middlesbrough had offered to pay the largest portion of Diallo’s wages, but the winger has appeared to dismiss the speculation around his future.

Posting on Instagram Stories, Diallo shared a photo from his spell at Sunderland and added a kissing emoji alongside the picture.
Middlesbrough are one of Sunderland’s rivals and both teams are currently pushing for a play-off spot in the Championship table.
United wonderkid Diallo makes clear stance
United fans will welcome the news that Diallo is likely to stay at Old Trafford in the January transfer window, despite several clubs being linked with him.
Diallo impressed during his second-half cameo against Forest at City Ground in December and deserves to be challenging Antony for a place in the United XI.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Sunderland Nation, the Ivory Coast winger ‘contacted’ a Sunderland fan page on X and made his stance clear on his future.
“The rumour binding me on a loan to Boro are fake,” reads the message.
“If I had to come back on loan to the Championship, it would be at Sunderland and not anywhere else.”
