Harry Amass is putting up a strong argument to be a first-team regular for Manchester United but transfer links to Lewis Hall refuse to go away.

In pre-season this summer, Harry Amass has stood out at left-back after spending 2025/26 on loan in the Championship.

United fans were blown away by Amass in the 5-0 win over Rosenborg, where the 19-year-old etched his name on the scoresheet.

But United are interested in Lewis Hall, and the Newcastle United defender is open to a move. Ineos and Michael Carrick face a big decision, but supporters are unanimous about what they want to see.

Via TalkingPoints, United fans were asked to choose between promoting Amass to the first-team squad for 2026/27 or to sign Hall, who is valued at £60m this summer.

Over 80% of United fans voted for Amass to be promoted, with supporters wanting Carrick to show faith in youth.

Fans were passionate about wanting to see Amass as a first-teamer next season, saving the funds that would have been spent on Hall.

Promote Amass and use the Hall money for a backup striker for Sesko to ease the burden on him & has had a few injuries

Give the lad a chance he has been playing great so why not, if it doesn’t work out then there’s always January. We can always get someone else either go in for Hall or someone better.
