The last time Victor Lindelof and Bruno Fernandes shared a pitch the pair were seen arguing as United conceded a decisive goal to crash out of the Europa League semi-finals.
The pair quickly brushed it off, with Fernandes last week telling A Bola: “He is one of the people with whom I have the best relationship in the club, also because he speaks Portuguese, and as everyone saw he speaks well.
“It was a game situation that none took to heart. It ended and we went directly to our countries, he to Sweden and I to Portugal.
‘At the farewell we hugged, we leaned our heads and didn’t even need to talk to each other.”

Last night Fernandes and Lindelof were due to go up against each other as Sweden took on Portugal.
But the defender was a surprise absentee.
A needed rest
Lindelof’s last international game was not one of his best, when he went up against France.
He ended up conceding a penalty to United teammate Anthony Martial.
The script was already written for him to do the same for Fernandes, so it was just as well perhaps that he sat the game out and was rested.

Fernandes impressive
Fernandes pulled the strings on a night headlined by Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored his 100th and 101st international goals.
The United star made 108 touches in total, more than any player on the pitch.
He managed to create three chances, and hit the woodwork with one of his four efforts at goal.
Portugal won the game 2-0, and with Ronaldo and Fernandes on top form, Lindelof was probably relieved he did not have to deal with them both.
