Ruben Amorim is already experiencing a complication in his new role at AC Milan.

Former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has now been confirmed as the new head coach at AC Milan.

However, AC Milan have suffered a major blow to their new project.

The Italian giants had been set to appoint Eintracht Frankfurt’s Markus Krosche as the club’s new sporting director.

Now that deal has collapsed.

Krosche snubs AC Milan

Markus Krosche has now decided to stay with Eintracht Frankfurt and snub a proposed move to AC Milan.

German journalist Florian Plettenberg reports: “Markus Krosche will stay at Eintracht Frankfurt. No immediate move to AC Milan.

“There were talks and concrete interest, but Krosche has rejected Milan. Reports claiming Krösche had already given his approval or that agreements with Milan had been reached were always wide of the mark.”

It leaves the Amorim project at Milan lacking direction already.

They have already received a snub from former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick over the role.

The Krosche deal is even more damaging because he knew he would be working with Amorim, and turned them down.

Rangnick snubbed Milan too

Ralf Rangnick explained that the AC Milan proposal was submitted to him quickly or cohesively enough, and he chose to renew his contract with Austria.

Rangnick told Tuttosport:  that there was ‘no clarity’ on Milan’s part.

He added: “Three weeks ago, there was an initial contact and discussions were held. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted clarity before the start of the World Cup.

“For myself, for the team, for the country, for the Austrian Football Association, and for my players. This was communicated clearly from the beginning.”
