All summer Manchester United fans have been hoping for a sign from Germany that Jadon Sancho could be on his way.
Perhaps, just perhaps, we have one. Call it wishful thinking, but Sancho’s omission from Dortmund’s squad for the German Super Cup has caused a stir.
Dortmund have officially said Sancho is out with a respiratory infection.
With the transfer window closing in just under a week, United’s pursuit of Sancho is reaching it’s end game.
Just yesterday The Mail reported United were set to make a club record transfer bid for the winger.
So far this transfer window United have not met Dortmund’s asking price of £108 million.
What’s going on?
Amid all this, a report from Spain has emerged claiming Ousmane Dembele could be on his way to United.
AS claim Dembele is close to a move to Old Trafford, with Barcelona willing to accept £50 million in order to fund a move for Memphis Depay.

It is unlikely United buy both Dembele and Sancho, so something is off with one of these situations.
To add to the mix, Di Marzio has linked United with moves for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan, and free agent Edinson Cavani.
Both would be short-term solutions, but would improve United’s strike options.
The truth of all of these is unclear, but it is evident that United are in for a very busy final week.
