Manchester United fans were glad to see the club part ways with Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window.
Jadon Sancho’s fallout with Erik ten Hag masked deeper problems with the winger’s spell at Manchester United.
Sancho had struggled to perform for both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. Even his spell on loan at Dortmund last season lacked any kind of consistency, despite a couple of flashy displays.
United agreed a deal with Chelsea on deadline day to send Sancho on loan with an obligation to buy.
Sancho was a disappointing signing for United overall, especially given the scale of the fee the club invested in him.

Jadon Sancho troubles at Chelsea
Jadon Sancho began well at Chelsea, and had Blues fans and the media gloating at managing to prise him away from Manchester United.
United fans never really bought into the disappointment of losing Sancho, and have simply waited for the situation to play itself out.
In recent weeks the United loanee has not been faring too well. He was called out for poor play in Chelsea’s draw with Forest by pundit Tony Cascarino.
Sancho was then hooked at half-time in Chelsea’s draw with Liverpool, and subsequently labelled ‘predictable’.
Since then he has not featured at all. While he was ineligible for the United vs Chelsea match, Sancho was then dropped to be an unused substitute against Newcastle in the league, before missing their Carabao Cup fourth round clash.
Now, Sancho has been ruled out of Chelsea’s Europa Conference League match and may still be out until the international break, with illness.
Loan conditions dependent on league position
Manchester United do not appear to need to worry about Sancho’s loan not going through if he does not feature in a certain number of games.
Sancho’s loan has an ‘obligation’ to buy, David Ornstein reported, with the price subject to fluctuate depending on Chelsea’s final league position.
Manchester United can expect a fee regardless for Sancho, who must work hard to convince his new club that he is deserving of their outlay, after his recent setbacks.
