The 22-year-old Slovenian forward is expected to be out of action for at least a month and Ruben Amorim provided an update on Sesko before the Everton clash.
Sesko was forced to make way late in the second half in United’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite coming off the bench after the break.
The Slovenia international was unable to represent his country during the World Cup qualifiers in the November break due to his injury setback at Old Trafford.

Benjamin Sesko’s arrival at Manchester United signalled the end of Rasmus Hojlund’s role in the first-team squad under Ruben Amorim for the 2025-26 campaign.
United paid a hefty initial fee of £66.3m to sign Sesko from RB Leipzig in the summer, with the Red Devils agreeing a deal worth £73.7m for the striker.
Rasmus Hojlund made his exit from United and signed for Serie A outfit Napoli on deadline day in September after being deemed surplus to requirements at the club.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, United manager Amorim explained why the dynamic between Hojlund and Sesko could not have worked in one role in the starting XI.
“Our thinking is that we need two strikers, or sometimes I prefer players that make two positions because sometimes in these clubs, it’s hard to make everyone happy,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Imagine that Rasmus is here, and you say: ‘If Ben has an injury, you have more time to play.”

Amorim held his pre-match press conference on Friday at the Carrington training complex ahead of the Red Devils’ Premier League clash against Everton on Monday.
The 40-year-old Red Devils head coach will be forced to shake up his leading forward option after United striker Sesko has been ruled out of action.
Amorim insisted that Napoli ace Rasmus Hojlund and Sesko would have been “impossible” to manage in the dressing room if he tried to appease both sides.

“It’s impossible to manage a dressing room like that, that’s why we need to improve the kids from the academy,” he continued.
“If we have an injury, that is the opportunity for them, and then to have players that can play in different positions for us to manage the team in a better way.”
United are 10th in the Premier League table and the Red Devils will clash against David Moyes’ team at 8pm UK time at Old Trafford on Monday.
