Manchester United stretch their unbeaten run to five matches after a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
A solid display in the first half saw Manchester United go in at the break with a 1-0 lead over Tottenham Hotspur, with Thomas Frank’s side struggling to create any clear-cut chances on goal.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a header, which gave United a deserved lead because they looked the most threatening of the two sides since kick-off.
United didn’t play with the same energy in the second half, and Amorim made lots of changes before Tottenham equalised through Mathys Tel.
Tottenham dealt United another blow in stoppage time when Richarlison scored as Tottenham took a late lead, but Matthijs de Ligt popped up at the end to score his first goal of the season, making it 2-2.
Here are five things we learned from United’s draw with Tottenham.

Man Utd’s newfound belief
United were incredibly unlucky to go 2-1 down in the game, but similarly to last week against Nottingham Forest, they were guilty of collapsing.
There was late drama in the game as De Ligt’s towering header at the far post ensured United left London with a point.
De Ligt’s goal came at the right time to silence the Tottenham crowd. It would have been a total injustice had United lost this game.
Patrick Dorgu is an improvement over Diogo Dalot
Ruben Amorim made big decisions ahead of the game, but perhaps the biggest one saw him replace Diogo Dalot with Patrick Dorgu at left wing-back.
Dalot has struggled for form this season and was among the worst performers in United’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest last week.
While Dorgu didn’t exactly pull up trees against Spurs, he blocked several crosses into the box and dealt with Pedro Porro’s threat on the right flank.
Bryan Mbeumo is Man Utd’s main threat
Scoring his sixth goal of the season, Mbeumo’s popularity is rising by the week at United.
Mbeumo was voted the player of the month because he is in tremendous form. That was clear again today as Spurs were kept on alert with his every move, but he didn’t even need to jump to convert Amad’s brilliant cross in the first half.
It was his fifth goal against Tottenham since moving to England six years ago.
25 meetings since last goalless draw between Man Utd and Tottenham
The last time United and Tottenham had a scoreless draw in December 28, 2014.
It was never going to happen today with Mbeumo in form and United unable to protect a lead at the moment.
Harry Maguire and Benjamin Sesko go off injured
Amorim was forced to make two substitutions due to injury in the second half, with Harry Maguire going down first to be replaced by Leny Yoro.
Benjamin Sesko came off the bench to provide more firepower in United’s attack, but he missed a glorious opportunity in the last five minutes of normal time before requesting to come off with an injury.
The United head coach is expected to provide an update on both players in his post-match press conference.
