Manchester United’s summer transfer window has taken off with Matheus Cunha’s arrival being made official.
It is the kind of signing that has a feeling of being a certain success story for Ineos.
Matheus Cunha is Premier League proven, physical, a leader, and has all the footballing ability in the world, which has left supporters very excited about what he will bring to Manchester United.
So when Cunha was finally pictured in a United shirt, there was rightfully delight within the Old Trafford fanbase, and it helped that the Brazilian looked like he belonged in the shirt immediately.
At United, some players never fill the shirt with so much weight and expectation that comes with it, but Cunha looks as though he means business.
Now, Harry Maguire, who is another player who absolutely fills the United shirt, even if it took him some time, has sent Cunha a message.

Despite once being hated by a lot of the fanbase, Maguire has become key for Ruben Amorim and an undisputed fan favourite after the past two seasons in particular saw him step up while others struggled.
Maguire is viewed as a top central defender and one of the big leaders at Old Trafford, so it is only fitting that he be one to send a message and welcome new signing, Cunha.
Under a joint Cunha and United post on Instagram, Maguire commented with a message to the 26-year-old Brazilian.
Maguire simply wrote: “Welcome mate”, followed by a praise emoji and a Brazilian flag before he tagged the Selecao star.
This message just sums up Maguire perfectly and explains why he is such a valuable member of the squad, not only on the pitch but also off it.
Once he links up with the team, we would assume it won’t take Cunha long to be an identifiable leader in the squad alongside Maguire.

There are few signings United have made over the past decade who have felt like Cunha has straight away. Cunha has the Bruno Fernandes aura around him, and there is a feeling he could be very special for United.
As quoted by club media, Jason Wilcox is also very excited by Cunha’s arrival, which proves that he is the perfect signing for Ruben Amorim and United.
