Manchester United are looking for more attacking signings even after securing Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ruben Amorim needed attacking additions this summer after a frustrating season in front of goal for Manchester United.

Ineos have wasted no time in striking one deal, with United agreeing to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Cunha arrives having dazzled in the Premier League last season, hitting 15 goals and six assists for Wolves.

The 26-year-old now arrives at Old Trafford to offer a boost to Amorim’s attacking options, most likely operating as a number 10.

Matheus Cunha sends seven-word message to Manchester United fans

Cunha has been away on international duty with Brazil but can now put the finishing touches to his Old Trafford move.

United have unveiled the new home shirt for the 2025-26 season, with Cunha now posting photos of his own.

Posting on his Instagram stories, Cunha showed off a polaroid of himself wearing United’s new home shirt.

Cunha shared a seven-word message, stating ‘it’s all about you following your dreams’ as he savoured being snapped in the United shirt for the first time.

Cunha appears to have been thinking about this move for a while, and putting on the famous red shirt must have been an incredibly special moment for him.

This is the shirt Cunha will wear to begin his United journey and he will be looking to make a bright start when he wears it during pre-season.

Cunha will now have a break after his international action with Brazil, but seeing him in the United shirt for the first time means excitement is building ahead of his United debut.

New attacking additions could join Cunha

United can be delighted with the start to the window, with a proven Premier League attacker on board in Cunha.

The attacking revolution will not end there, though, with Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho all being made available.

Cunha is a major addition and United are now looking to bring in more attacking talent around the Brazilian.

Brentford rejected United’s first bid for Bryan Mbeumo, but the Cameroon international remains a top target.

Mbeumo would likely play as a number 10 in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, joining Cunha in playing behind the striker.

Who that striker will be remains to be seen after Rasmus Hojlund’s disappointing 2024-25 campaign.

United have made contact over Viktor Gyokeres, with the Sporting striker potentially eyed for a reunion with Amorim.

More sales will be needed to pull off both of those deals, but there is a chance we see a new-look United front three next season – and Cunha will be expected to make a big impact.
