As we enter the final fortnight of the January transfer window, it is time for Manchester United to make some decisions.
Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Patrick Dorgu, who could join from Serie A side Lecce.
To bring in players like Dorgu who could be suited to Ruben Amorim’s system, United need to free up some funds too, and that also includes loaning out players.
Via loans, United can accrue marginal gains in loan fees and wage contributions – but Rio Ferdinand believes there is a bigger bonus.

Rio Ferdinand on Manchester United exits
Speaking on YouTube, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes any player who wants to leave, should be permitted to leave as quickly as possible.
Three players linked with exits are Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, all expected to leave on loan.
Asked about Rashford, Antony, and Malacia, Ferdinand had a very firm response.

“You know what it’s like. If they are in here and it’s unsettled and it’s not going to plan, they are not happy, it’s like a cancerous bad energy.”

Exploring Rashford, Antony, Malacia situations
Marcus Rashford is the only one of the trio mentioned who has publicly expressed his desire to leave the club.
Rashford spoke in December that he is seeking a fresh challenge, and has been linked with an exit ever since.
Antony and Malacia are more in need of exits to get game time, but they may simply not have futures at the club, having failed to convince Ruben Amorim.
Real Betis are close to landing Antony on loan, while Amorim hit out when asked about Rashford, insisting he will not pick a player he does not believe is best for the team.
