Obviously it would be great if they were, because it would mean Amad would go on to become a tremendous success and justify his fee.
The goal came from his first shot at goal in a United first team shirt, and he looks ready to play at this level.
The prospect of returning to Italy for the second leg will not daunt him at all. United will hope to have some of the team’s injured stars back for that fixture – but if they are not ready, then Amad showed tonight that he is ready to step in and produce a moment of magic.
