England duo Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo have mirrored a key feat that three former Manchester United players have achieved at the World Cup.
Kobbie Mainoo was taken to the tournament and the 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder did not play a single minute for the Three Lions under Thomas Tuchel.
The Stockport-born talent missed out on securing minutes in the third-round play-off after a back injury ruled him out of England’s stunning 6-4 win over France.
Marcus Rashford, on the other hand, was more fortunate than Mainoo to have played an important role in Thomas Tuchel’s England plans at the World Cup.

Both Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku followed in Robin van Persie’s footsteps by securing World Cup bronze medals at the 2018 tournament.
