Fred’s stint with Brazil is going pretty well. Last night he starred as Brazil beat Peru 4-0.
The Manchester United star even provided an assist, setting up a goal for Neymar.
Last season Fred managed only two assists in 48 matches for Manchester United.
He now has one in two Copa America games for Brazil so far this tournament.
Fred sent a message after the victory, commenting on Instagram: “Another important step in our campaign. Let’s go for more. Thank you, God.”

Important role for Brazil
Fred has now started four consecutive games for Brazil, two World Cup qualifiers and two Copa America games.
Brazil’s four goals came from Alex Sandro, Neymar, Everton Ribeiro and Richarlison.
While Neymar won the official man of the match award, Fred ran him close with an outstanding all round contribution.
Fred won nine duels, made 12 ball recoveries, and touched the ball 93 times in total.
The United midfielder made three tackles, completed two dribbles, and completed 84 per cent of his passes.
He couldn’t quite have it all though. His one shot predictably landed off target.
Fred’s assist came through a direct ball forward to Neymar on the edge of the box, who turned and shot low into the bottom corner.
Brazil have now won their opening two Copa America group games by a combined score of 7-0 and Fred might fancy his chances of silverware as the tournamnet progresses.
