Newcastle United’s takeover could change established order in the Premier League.
At this point the top four looks fairly predictable, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea jockeying for position between now and May.
Newcastle’s recently completed takeover gives the Toon Army a shot in the arm and they will be looking to improve their squad as quickly as possible.
That won’t mean targeting impossible-to-buy players like Bruno Fernandes or Cristiano Ronaldo, but there could be a handful of Manchester United players who the freshly flush Newcastle could target in January or next summer…

Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard’s contract is expiring and his intentions are unclear. United have moulded him into a perfect squad player but he may want to be more than that. Currently he does not have a league start to his name this season.
Newcastle could make an offer for Lingard which is too good for United to turn down.
The England international could become the main man for the intermediate future and he could relish leading their new era.

Axel Tuanzebe
Newcastle were interested in Axel Tuanzebe in the summer on loan and could not afford his loan fee, per The Mail. How times quickly change.
Tuanzebe is likely to leave United permanently next summer in pursuit of regular football and Newcastle could revisit their interest.
The centre-back would be a smart investment at just 23-years-old, and if there was a break clause in his Villa loan deal, Newcastle could possibly explore a move as soon as January.

Juan Mata
If Newcastle want a bit of goodwill from the media then there is no better way to do it by signing total class act Juan Mata.
Mata has little left to offer United at this stage of his career but he could be absolutely perfect in the short-term for Newcastle.
The Spaniard could be available on the cheap as his contract is expiring and he could be an ideal mentor to help the rest of the Newcastle squad get through this period of change.

Donny van de Beek
Perhaps Newcastle might show a little more ambition than going after Mata and join the chase for Donny van de Beek?
Everton have expressed their interest, Sky Sports report, and it’s likely Newcastle could put together an equally if not more attractive pitch to the Dutchman to come and join them instead.
Van de Beek was a Champions League semi-finalist with Ajax and signing him could be a real coup. United might even be able to recoup close to the £35 million paid for his signature.

Anthony Martial
Another big name who could seek a January exit from Manchester United, Anthony Martial’s future remains unclear.
Newcastle’s top priority should be to add firepower into their squad and Martial is Manchester United’s most expendable forward.
Potentially, Manchester United could look to recoup around £30 million for Martial if there is a market for him.
