Manchester United have everything lined up to announce Bryan Mbeumo as their next summer signing.

The Bryan Mbeumo transfer saga has been a lengthy one for Manchester United fans, but it is set to be over within the next few hours.

United agreed a £71m deal for Mbeumo, with the Red Devils agreeing to spread the cost over multiple years.

The 25-year-old forward is set to sign a contract at United until 2030, with an option to extend until 2031.

Mbeumo’s medical is set to be completed this weekend according to Fabrizio Romano, meaning the official announcement is imminent.

What Amad Diallo said about Bryan Mbeumo joining Man United

Mbeumo’s arrival will add even more competition and depth up front for Amorim, and one player he could be competing with for a starting spot is Amad Diallo.

Amad often played as the right-sided No.10 last season, although he looks set to star at right wing-back in 2025/26.

After United’s 0-0 draw with Leeds in the first pre-season friendly of the summer, Amad was asked about United’s newest signing, and he responded with excitement.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, Amad said: “Of course I’m looking forward to playing with him. We need good players in the team who can bring something to the final third.

“We are really excited to have them in the team and I hope that together we can give something to the fans at the end of the season because they deserve it.”

Amad Diallo could create strong connection with Bryan Mbeumo

Heading into the new season, it appears as though Amad and Mbeumo will be the first-choice players for Amorim’s right flank.

Amorim bemoaned a lack of “pace” against Leeds, but a partnership of Amad and Mbeumo will be a scary threat for any top-flight side.

Mbeumo’s versatility makes him a great signing. He also played centrally for Brentford at times, and Amorim could use the Cameroon international up front next season.

That would make space for Amad to push forward into the No.10 spot, where he thrived last season.

The arrivals of Cunha and Mbeumo give Amorim plenty of options to rotate and be flexible with his attacking line, and fans will hope to start seeing it in action on the pre-season tour of the US this month.
