Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has shared an injury update on Marcus Rashford and Antony ahead of the final pre-season match against Liverpool.
Marcus Rashford started the 3-2 win over La Liga club Real Betis on Thursday and impressed with his performance at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
The 26-year-old Manchester United star, who scored from the spot-kick in the first half against Real Betis, limped off the pitch in the second half due to injury.
Antony came off the bench in the second half and replaced Amad Diallo, who produced a stunning performance against Spanish side Betis.
However, the 24-year-old Brazilian winger was forced off in the 86th minute due to injury and Erik ten Hag replaced him with Sam Mather.
Ten Hag has been forced to contend with injuries to his United first-team squad during the pre-season campaign this summer.
The 54-year-old United boss was dealt major blows after summer signing Leny Yoro and striker Rasmus Hojlund picked up injuries in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal.

Ten Hag shares Rashford and Antony updates
Speaking from Manchester United’s training base at UCLA, Erik ten Hag was asked about Antony and Marcus Rashford after they came off against Real Betis.
The United manager is preparing for the final match of the Red Devils’ pre-season tour, with Ten Hag’s men set to face Liverpool on Sunday in South Carolina.
Ten Hag admitted that a “final assessment” is still needed on Antony and Rashford to see if either player could feature against the Reds at the Williams-Brice Stadium.
“We have to wait,” he told a press conference on Thursday, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Of course, we don’t go into risk, into the last game of the tour, going into the season next week already, into an important game [against Manchester City].
“We are still within the 24 hours after a game, so the final assessment we have to make and we will see if they are ready for the final game on Saturday against Liverpool.”
Ten Hag on his Man Utd squad
Following the Liverpool clash on Sunday, United will head to Wembley on 10th August for their Community Shield showdown with Manchester City.
Ten Hag insisted that he is more focused in finding the “right balance” with his team selection in pre-season rather than fielding a strong XI.
“Yes, it’s always about finding the right balance in this,” he said.
“We have to prepare for the season, but we understand that we have to give a performance and that we represent our club and that we represent Premier League football here.
“So [we have] to find the right balance in this.”
