Cristiano Ronaldo wrote an emotional message to fans upon clinching his Manchester United return on deadline day.
Ronaldo wrote about his ‘never ending love for Manchester United’, before adding, ‘history has been written in the past and history will be written once again, you have my word’.
The Portugal international forward’s message was topped off with a line which read, ‘PS – Sir Alex, this one is for you…’.

It was enough to stir the emotions of any Manchester United fan and leave a few feeling teary eyed.
One man who really appreciated Ronaldo’s heartfelt message was the player the winger replaced at Old Trafford in 2003, David Beckham.

Ronaldo gets it
Ronaldo’s words show appreciation of the magnitude of his Manchester United return, and what it means to supporters.
He is also not just coming for a farewell tour, he wants this to be a substantial return.
The thought of Sir Alex Ferguson greeting him on the pitch as he wins a trophy with Manchester United is almost too much to handle.
Memories of Ronaldo’s first spell at Old Trafford are still vivid and the forward has potentially three more years to carve out more specials moments.
It feels like we are in for a treat, and while Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United will ultimately be judged by whether he wins silverware or not, the whole experience is going to be amazing from week to week.
Having fans back in stadiums will make this so much better. Tottenham re-signed Gareth Bale in a year without supporters and it barely registered. Seeing Ronaldo back in front of 76,000 fans is going to be a must-watch event each and every week and we are all in for a real treat.
