Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United is a done deal.
United have sensationally struck a deal to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
Ronaldo had seemed City bound, before United entered the race.
The Manchester Evening News claimed Sir Alex Ferguson had a key role in convincing United and Ronaldo to thrash out a deal.
Manchester United have confirmed the deal with an official statement.
The statement read: “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.”
Ronaldo scored 118 goals for Manchester United in a six year spell between 2003 and 2009.
He went on to win four more Champions League titles with Real Madrid to add to the one he won with United n 2008.
At the age of 36 he has still got it, recently equalling the record as the all time international leading goalscorer.
Ronaldo scored 101 goals in Juventus in three seasons.
