Bruno Fernandes sends message to United fans

Bruno Fernandes says he is ‘gutted’ with Manchester United’s result against Everton.

United let leads slip twice, including a 3-2 advantage with less than a minute left of injury time.

A free-kick cheaply given away led to a late Everton equaliser, with poor defending and goalkeeping all round.

Fernandes had scored a wondergoal in the first half to put United 2-0 up, and it seemed like the team would cruise to victory. Everton fought back, to their credit.

Fernandes’ goal deserved to be part of a winning performance, so you can understand his frustration.

Cheap goals conceded have seen United drop points at home to Everton, Sheffield United, and away at Leicester in recent weeks. This has given City a healthy advantage at the top of the table.

United have a FA Cup clash on Tuesday against West Ham, followed by an away trip to West Brom next weekend.

From an individual standpoint, Fernandes is now up to 18 goals and 11 assists for the season, a quite outrageous return.
