Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha and departing midfielder Casemiro both featured in Brazil’s win over Japan.
It looked as though Matheus Cunha and Ederson would be making an early return to Manchester United when Brazil fell behind to Japan.
But Casemiro scored his first goal of the 2026 World Cup to equalise for Brazil, and then the five-time world champions scored a dramatic winner in injury time.
Both Cunha and Casemiro started for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, while £38m signing Ederson remained an unused substitute.
