Manchester United lost 1-0 to Wolves on Sunday afternoon but there were still a few silver linings to the defeat.
Pablo Sarabia scored the only goal of the game against the run of play at Old Trafford to inflict another Premier League defeat against Manchester United.
The Premier League continues to be a struggle for Ruben Amorim compared to European football, where United recorded a chaotic 5-4 win over Lyon midweek.
There were plenty of positives from United’s performance, including Tyler Fredricson’s impressive debut in defence, but Wes Brown picked out another star as his man of the match.

Wes Brown names Harry Amass as Man of the Match
After beating Lyon, Amorim said he will trust academy players in the Premier League for the remainder of the season in order to rest key players for the Europa League.
He kept that promise against Wolves, with Fredricson handed his debut and Harry Amass starting at left wing-back. Chido Obi also came off the bench in the second half.
United fans were delighted with Amass’ display against Wolves, with the 18-year-old starring at left wing-back for Amorim.
Speaking after the full-time whistle, former United defender Wes Brown raved about Amass to MUTV.
“I’m going to go Amass today. He is expressing himself a little bit more, some of the balls he put into the box, which we’ve missed a little bit this season,” Brown said.
“I don’t think the players were really ready for it, but were excellent. and like I said, I think there will be big things coming from him next season.”
How Harry Amass fared for Man United vs Wolves
Amass was brilliant against Lyon midweek and he picked up more important minutes on Sunday afternoon.
In training, Amass has blown away United staff with his mentality and workrate. His recent performances suggest he could become a regular first-teamer next season.
Against Wolves, Amass’ match stats show exactly why Brown singled him out as the man of the match.
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Touches | 71 |
| Passes completed | 89% (42/47) |
| Key passes | 1 |
| Crosses attempted | 3 |

Up against United target Matheus Cunha, Amass handled Wolves’ attacking threat superbly, winning 60% of his duels.
Going forward, Amass combined well with Alejandro Garnacho on the left, and he delivered some tempting crosses into the box but Rasmus Hojlund had an afternoon to forget in front of goal.
