Manchester United picked up three more points in the Premier League in what was the final Old Trafford outing of the season.

Goals from Luke Shaw, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo gave Manchester United a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick has made it 11 wins from 16 matches ahead of the confirmation of his permanent appointment as head coach.

In what was an emotional afternoon at Old Trafford, there were several winners and losers from the clash.

Winners

Bruno Fernandes

The assist record has been matched! United captain Bruno Fernandes, fresh from winning his fifth Player of the Year award at the club, has produced his 20th assist of the season.

The Portuguese playmaker is now sharing company with Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, and he still has one match remaining this season to break the record.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw opened the scoring with his fifth goal for Manchester United and his first since 2023.

It was a well-taken strike by the England international, who controlled the ball superbly and found the side netting with a slicing shot.

A fantastic way to cap off an ever-present season in the Premier League.

Casemiro

An emotional farewell. Old Trafford turned up the noise for the Brazilian, and Casemiro responded with a strong performance.

While Casemiro didn’t add to his goal tally, he was dominant in midfield and enjoyed a battle against United transfer target Elliot Anderson, who could yet replace him at Old Trafford.

JJ Gabriel and Tyler Fletcher

Academy duo JJ Gabriel and Tyler Fletcher were presented in front of the Old Trafford crowd before kick-off.

Gabriel won the Jimmy Murphy award earlier this week, while Fletcher won the Denzil Haroun Award. Both teenage stars will hope to have a big breakthrough in 2026/27, and they got their moment in the spotlight in front of a packed-out crowd.

Matheus Cunha

United’s No.10 scored his 10th goal of the season in what has been a brilliant debut campaign.

Losers

Manuel Ugarte

While Sunday’s clash was all about saying goodbye to Casemiro, there was hardly a moment to recognise that this is also likely to be Manuel Ugarte’s last Old Trafford outing in red.

Tyrell Malacia

Tyrell Malacia was also denied any minutes at Old Trafford in his final home match before his contract expires this summer.
