Manchester United have done the Premier League double over bitter rivals Leeds.

United essentially had to win this game twice; once in the first half when they went in 2-0 up at half time and then again in the second period once Leeds had come back.

Here is a look at three players who stood out for the right reasons on an absolutely soaking wet day at Elland Road…

Jadon Sancho

United legend Gary Neville named Sancho as his man of the match at the end of the 4-2 win.

Sancho set up Bruno Fernandes’ header and Fred’s goal, which was especially crucial in swinging the game back United’s way.

The England international has been in the best form of his United career in recent weeks and he showed his impressive composure again here.

He played on the left of midfield and made the most of the space that Leeds leave in behind when they bomb on and play a man marking style.

Bruno Fernandes

Fernandes was once again at the heart of much of United’s best attacking play against the side he scored a hat-trick versus last time out.

This is the first time a United player has ever scored four goals against Leeds across the course of the same league season.

He is another player who looks to be getting back to his best and he built on his goal against Brighton with another strike here.

Now, the next challenge is for him to replicate this level of performance against Atletico Madrid on the biggest stage in Europe…

Paul Pogba

In the first half, Pogba was arguably United’s best player, and was easily dominating his individual battle with Leeds counterpart Adam Forshaw.

He laid on a sensational chance for Cristiano Ronaldo while the game was 0-0 and the Portuguese superstar should have scored it.

That would have made it five assists for the season against Leeds for Pogba and it was surprising to see him taken off for Fred at 2-2.

Rangnick said after the game that was because Pogba was starting to tire in an intense game after a long injury lay-off and hopefully he has something left in the tank for Wednesday night.
