Manchester United defeated 10-man Athletic Club 3-0 in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals last Thursday at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
Following United’s superb result against Athletic Club in Spain, the Red Devils welcomed the La Liga outfit to Old Trafford for the return leg on Thursday.

Mount impressed United fans with his performance at Old Trafford and he scored his second on Thursday evening with a stunning long-range strike in injury time.

Manchester United have reached the Europa League final and the Red Devils will now face Tottenham on 21st May at Athletic Club’s San Mames Stadium.
Harry Maguire started the second-leg Europa League semi-final match and the former United captain saw out the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford on Thursday.
United manager Ruben Amorim deployed the 32-year-old England international in a three-man backline alongside Victor Lindelof and Leny Yoro in the 4-1 win.
Maguire has seen a career resurgence at Old Trafford and the Three Lions and Red Devils defender has perfectly suited Amorim’s tactical system for United.
The England centre-back took to social media after United’s victory over Athletic Club and Maguire sent out a heartfelt message to Red Devils supporters.
“Follow, Follow, Follow Cause United Are Going To Bilbao [sic],” Maguire wrote on Instagram.

Speaking after Athletic Club’s Europa League exit, Amorim admitted that lifting the Europa League trophy would be a “massive” moment in his managerial career.
“Every coach will say the next one is the most important,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“It is the title with more exposure, but I cannot say it is the most important title.
“Your first one is more important because you want to establish yourself as a coach and to win something, so you can say you have a title.
“But it would be massive, especially after this season in the Premier League. For me, it is important because it is the next one.”
United and Tottenham’s 2025 Europa League final showdown in Spain is slated for an 8pm UK kick-off time on 21st May at the San Mames Stadium.
