Manchester United secured their place in the Europa League final against Tottenham on Thursday with a 4-1 win over Athletic Club.
It has been a long, yet successful European campaign for Manchester United this season, remaining undefeated in the Europa League throughout the entire tournament so far. The 14 game campaign to date has seen nine wins and five draws, with the Red Devils the only team in Europe to be unbeaten.
Unlike the domestic campaign, United have scored for fun at times in the campaign, with five goals against Real Sociedad over two legs, seven against Lyon, and seven against Athletic Club in the semi-finals.
By blowing the Spanish side away, United secured a place in the Europa League final later this month, with the season resting on success to avoid a Europe-less season in 2025/26.
It would be a chance for Ruben Amorim to restore United to Champions League football, which financially would have a major positive impact.
So, with a place in the final secured, here is everything you will need to know ahead of the Europa League final and the chance at a third trophy in as many seasons.

Where is the Europa League final 2025?
The Europa League final 2025 will be played in the San Mames stadium in Bilbao, Spain. This is the scene of United’s 3-0 semi-final first leg victory over Athletic Club, and so good memories will be had by the squad.

How much prize money could Manchester United earn?

Winning the Europa League will see United earn an additional £10.95m on top of the roughly £9.3m already secured performance-based prize money this season.
- £1.9m for five league phase wins
- £383k for three league phase draws
- £1.47m for reaching round of 16
- £2.11m for reaching quarter finals
- £3.54m for reaching semi finals
This would then see the £10.95m added for lifting the trophy or a runner-up prize of £5.9m. This is a nice boost for United, but the real money comes in reaching the Champions League in which The BBC claimed United would earn £70m from even if they lost every game.
This due to the broadcast income along with enhanced prize money on offer, certainly something that would help Ineos’ planned summer rebuild.
How to watch
The game will be available to watch on Discovery+ with TNT Sports 1 likely to be showcasing the marquee match-up. However it will become clearer as we approach the game.
