Manchester United are out of the Carabao Cup after an eventful 4-3 loss to Tottenham.
In what was a completely wild game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Ruben Amorim will have left with a smile on his face despite the 4-3 defeat.
He watched his Manchester United side dominate proceedings, with individual errors costing the Red Devils what should have been a comfortable win.
However, from 3-0 down, United showed great character to fight back, with Joshua Zirkzee kicking it off after a Fraser Forster mistake.
Amad Diallo made it 3-2 as his relentless running saw him nab the ball from Forster and into the goal.
However, a second mistake of the game from Altay Bayindir saw Tottenham get far enough ahead that a late Jonny Evans goal couldn’t help United catch Spurs.

After the 4-3 loss, MUTV pundits were in complete alignment over the star of the game for United.
Phil Bardsley began praising Amad in particular as one player who flipped the game for United.
“Players came on and made an impact. They certainly made a difference. Amad again, a special, special player.”
Wes Brown was in full agreement with Bardsley that Amad changed the game, praising the grit that the 22-year-old showed.
“Yeah, he was really on form again when he came on. Completely changes the game, just his grit, and determination and he’s doing the basics to the best of his ability.
“He didn’t give up, he’s got that winning spirit and gave us that spark.”

Amad not only scored in the game against Spurs but also assisted Evans’ headed goal from the corner in the 94th minute.
This now means Amad has scored five and assisted seven this season – a remarkable tally for a player who is really in his breakout season.

Amad is the sole undroppable player in this team right now, and every game he makes himself more and more important to Amorim.
The Ivorian is a sensation and thankfully he is now being treated as such.
