Altay Bayindir was awful, but his 33-touch Man Utd teammate might have been even worse vs Spurs

Manchester United were impressive against Tottenham despite the 4-3 scoreline, with individual errors costing Ruben Amorim.

It was a dramatic night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Ruben Amorim’s team selection raising a few eyebrows.

Fixtures are coming thick and thin right now, and so Manchester United had to field a heavily rotated eleven, which saw Altay Bayindir start in goal.

The Turkish international goalkeeper was handed a golden opportunity by Amorim, and he completely let Amorim down.

Bayindir was at fault for two of Spurs’ goals and cost United the win. Yet somehow his performance was still better than his teammate.

Antony was the worst player on the pitch

Despite his two howlers, Bayindir’s performance seems less terrible than Antony’s.

While the Turkish star is a backup and has barely played in the past 18 months, Antony however should have more demanded of him.

Antony started on the right as a No.10 and looked completely lost before being hooked in the 55th minute by Amorim.

The quality disparity between Amad Diallo and Antony is truly incredible considering how much each cost, with the Brazilian costing more than triple.

Antony offered practically nothing for United on the pitch as he failed to build on a solid few cameos under Amorim in recent weeks.

Antony struggles for Manchester United

Antony being poor is nothing new, but in the past few weeks fans have begun to think maybe he is showing something, but this performance was more like the player we know.

As seen from this, the £86m winger was back to his deflating worst and almost every time he got the ball, he was caught by Spurs.

Ineos‘ ruthless attitude is unlikely to give Antony much more time, and he could prove to be a real headache for Amorim.
