Manchester United’s under-23 side have recorded a first under-23 victory of the season.
Zidane Iqbal scored the winner in the 89th minute to secure a 2-1 victory over Brighton.
Playing in his first under-23 game of the season, Anthony Elanga put Manchester United 1-0 up from the penalty spot just before half-time.
Elanga won the penalty in the first place after he was fouled inside the box.

Brighton then pulled a goal back to equalise and it looked like United were heading for another draw.
Iqbal then pounced to score late to record a first win of the season and net his first of the campaign.
Confidence booster
United had come into this game on the back of successive under-23 defeats to Manchester City and Arsenal.
Prior to that there were draws against Leicester City and Chelsea. This first win gets United off the mark.
Dean Henderson once again started in goal for United’s under-23s as he looked to get his fitness up.
He is working towards a possible Carabao Cup appearance against West Ham on Wednesday.
Phil Jones started again in central defence alongside Teden Mengi, who captained the team.
Shola Shoretire started the game and had a hand in United’s late winner as he drove United forward.
Several of the players who featured could be involved on Tuesday night against Bradford in the EFL Trophy.
Others like Elanga may fancy their chances of being involved on Wednesday against West Ham.
United’s under-23s then face Everton away on Friday night, so there is a busy week ahead.
