United youngster Jack Kingdon gets Scotland under-17 call-up
Manchester United youth prospect Jack Kingdon has been called up into the Scotland under-17 squad.
Kingdon has impressed in United’s academy since making his transfer from Morecambe late last year.
The young defender was called up into a Scotland training camp earlier in the summer.
Now he has been named in their squad to take on Wales in upcoming international break, which will give him his first youth international match experience.

Promising defender
Kingdon made his debut for Manchester United’s under-18s side at the end of last season.
He captained the under-16s on a successful pre-season tour of Northern Ireland earlier this summer.
Kingdon has begun this season with United’s under-16s side and is likely to be called back into the under-18s before the season is over.
The international experience will do more good for his development, and while he is also eligible to play at senior level for England, it appears Kingdon’s focus is on Scotland.
