Ruben Amorim is the head coach Manchester United fans would have dreamt of and his commitment to youth is a huge reason.
The 39-year-old ticks many boxes Manchester United fans will have wanted to see.
However, it is Ruben Amorim’s commitment to youth which will have many who follow the United academy excited.
The now-former Sporting Lisbon boss utilised the academy often with the Portuguese club and much of his title-winning side were players he had built into stars – the United way.
So it could be expected that on Tuesday when Amorim arrived at Carrington, he was instantly made aware of the countless impressive talents currently shining for Adam Lawrence’s incredible U18s.
On his first day at Carrington, Amorim was videoed meeting his new squad – with Dan Armer and Amir Ibragimov among those to be introduced.
Now, it has been reported that one youngster in particular is expected to benefit from Amorim’s arrival.

Bendito Mantato could be promoted by Ruben Amorim
Among the best talents currently playing at Old Trafford is versatile 16-year-old Bendito Mantato.
Mantato has been on fire for United at a U18 level this season and played a key role as the Red Devils remain unbeaten in the U18 Premier League.
United fans think Amoirm will love Mantato and we would be inclined to agree after seeing how he used United-linked Geovany Quenda at Sporting Lisbon.
It is now being reported by Manchester Evening News that Mantato’s chances of breaking into the first-team have increased following Amorim’s arrival.
The club are said to view Mantato as versatile, capable of playing as a wing-back on either side in Amorim’s new system.
Mantato is perfect for Amorim at wing-back and would offer the dynamic attacking qualities that the Portuguese coach demands from his wing-backs.
Amorim tipped to take great interest in Manchester United academy
In the MEN report, it is claimed that sources explained Ten Hag was ‘never brave enough’ in using youth. Questions were raised about this according to the report as the Dutchman refused to use youth when it seemed obvious to do so.
Harry Amass is one glaring example of this, with the 17-year-old yet to make his debut despite seemingly being ready. This has even led to Aston Villa being linked with an Amass swoop.
Well under Amorim, things are expected to change with the new head coach expected to take more interest in the academy.
This will be music to the ears of several academy players, including Ibragimov who is eyeing a first-team debut, along with several others like Mantato.
Using the academy is what United is built on as a club, so Amorim needs to get fans on his side by playing some of the best wonderkids early doors.
