Manchester United are already making progress in the summer transfer market with Diego Leon one of two deals already agreed.
It has been tipped as being a pivotal transfer window for Manchester United, and already, Ineos are making moves to ensure it is a success.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has thrown full support behind Ruben Amorim and will know that he needs to back it up by handing the 40-year-old a team that can perform at the level required to push at the top of the table.
Matheus Cunha is looking likely to be United’s first big signing, yet already two youngsters have agreed to join the club, with Diego Leon agreeing to join this summer.
Leon completed his medical in Manchester earlier this year, but needed to wait until his 18th birthday before making the move. This move has been followed by Enzo Kana-Biyik who signed his United contract last week, according to reports.
Now, there has been an update on when Leon will be confirmed.

When Diego Leon will move to England and join Manchester United
It was in January that United agreed a £3.2m move to sign Leon, with the deal to be completed in the summer once he had turned 18.
United went above and beyond to sign Leon, and he is tipped as one of the very best up-and-coming full-backs in world football.
So now, with just a few weeks until the transfer window opens, it has been revealed when Leon will make the move to Manchester officially.
According to Uriel Lugt, Leon is expected to travel to England in the second week of June in order to officially join United.
The Paraguayan will make the switch once the league ends, which comes on May 30th when Porteno face Atletico Tembetary. Leon, by the sounds of things, will then make his trip to Manchester, not participating in the closing part of the league.
Diego Leon can have a fast start at Manchester United
If Leon is moving over in the second week of June, this should mean he is left with plenty of time to adapt and settle in before pre-season is likely to begin.
With the first game of pre-season coming on July 19th in Stockholm, training will likely begin around Monday, the 7th of July.
| Fixture | Date | KO Time (BST) | Stadium | Location |
| Man United vs Leeds | 19th July, 2025 | 14:00 | Strawberry Arena | Stockholm |
| Man United vs West Ham | 26th July, 2025 | 00:00 | MetLife Stadium | New Jersey |
| Man United vs Bournemouth | 30th July, 2025 | 03:30 | Soldier Field | Chicago |
| Man United vs Everton | 3rd August, 2025 | 23:00 | Mercedes-Benz Stadium | Atlanta |
| Man United vs Fiorentina | 9th August, 2025 | 12:45 | Old Trafford | UK |
We would expect Leon to be in training on day one, and likely heavily involved in the early pre-season expeditions in Sweden and also the USA.
By moving over to England in advance of pre-season, Leon could familiarise himself with the club and Carrington, while potentially working with some coaches in advance of pre-season beginning.
