Manchester United are set for a frantic end to the winter transfer window. The Red Devils could yet complete more than one deal.
Ruben Amorim is hoping to improve his squad by adding at least one more player — ideally an attacking one — to his options.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is hard at work, but so far, despite being linked with several forwards, including Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey, has failed to get any across the line.

Man United not alone in Leon Bailey pursuit
After allowing Marcus Rashford to join Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season, the Red Devils are looking for replacements.
Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel remains an option for United but is proving an expensive transfer to complete. Due to Tel’s price, United have enquired about Bailey.
However, unless there is a major breakthrough in talks elsewhere, a Deadline Day transfer is unlikely to happen, and Fabrizio Romano has explained why.
“At the moment, they’re [Aston Villa] still not able to sign Joao Felix because Chelsea are not opening the door to their conditions, so Villa have to decide what Leon Bailey wants to do,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“What I can tell you is that Man United and Tottenham, both clubs called to be informed on Bailey, but again, it depends on Aston Villa and at the moment there is still no open doors.”
Stranger things have happened
As Romano has explained, Bailey’s future hinges on what Chelsea decide to do with Felix.
The Portuguese playmaker has started just three Premier League matches this season and doesn’t appear to be in Enzo Maresca’s long-term plans.
And even though he isn’t playing an important role, Chelsea aren’t making it easy for any side who wants to lure him away from Stamford Bridge.
However, with Villa still keen on signing him and there still plenty of time before Monday night’s deadline, anything could happen, and in the case of Felix, could spark a transfer domino effect that could lead to Bailey having to choose between London and Manchester.
