Benjamin Sesko enjoyed a strong debut season at Manchester United and he is already attracting interest from European giants as a result.
Manchester United paid £66 million to sign Benjamin Sesko last summer from RB Leipzig, and the Slovenian star has settled well at Old Trafford.
Sesko hit his 10+ goals target in his debut season, despite spending parts of the season as an option off the bench.
His contract is valid until 2030, so United invested in Benjamin Sesko as a long-term option to spearhead Ineos’ project. But just one year later, he is being named as a transfer target.

Barcelona could attempt to sign Benjamin Sesko
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Barcelona could turn to Sesko as a transfer target this summer.
Barcelona’s top striker target is Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, but signing the Argentine forward is proving difficult.
Atletico rejected a £129m (€150m) bid from Real Madrid for Alvarez, and pointed to his release clause of €500m attached to his contract.
Marca claim Barcelona are not giving up on Alvarez, but sporting director Deco has several other targets on his radar, including United’s Sesko.
Manager Hansi Flick confirmed that Barcelona want “a striker who is connected with the team, but who also scores goals.”

Barcelona could turn from Rashford to Sesko
Many United fans expected that it would be Marcus Rashford who joined Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona rejected Rashford’s £26m buy option this month, despite the Carrington graduate impressing in Spain on loan last summer.

Rashford has now cut ties with Barcelona and is preparing to return to United for pre-season training this summer. The plan remains to sell the 28-year-old, but that requires finding a new buyer.
Barcelona have already signed Anthony Gordon instead of Rashford, and now it seems they could raid United for Sesko rather than returning for him.
