Manchester United are moving closer to offloading one of the club’s under-performing players.
Antony is one of Manchester United’s most expensive ever players, yet has failed to live up to the £80m+ fee the club shelled out for him in 2022.
United are set to loan Antony out to Real Betis, with his agent meeting club chiefs and touring the facilities earlier this week.
He is expected to travel to Spain imminently, although was spotted in Manchester United training at Carrington on January 22.

Antony set for Real Betis
Its is no secret Antony is now heading to Real Betis. For evidence of this, one of the players at the La Liga club is even speaking openly about his arrival.
Former Premier League goalkeeper Adrian, previously of Liverpool and West Ham, has been discussing the Manchester United winger.
Adrian told Spanish newspaper AS that he hopeful Antony can show the form in Spain that he did in the Eredivisie.
He said: “Antony? There are many players who don’t quite gel in the Premier League.
“I’m not going to reveal it [the deal] either, I think we saw his best version at Ajax.”
One goal all season for Antony
Antony has struggled to make an impact for Manchester United this season, he has scored only one goal.
Antony’s only strike came from the penalty spot against Barnsley. While his game time has been limited, he has had 407 minutes of football this season.
The Brazilian has had chances under Ruben Amorim in the wing-back position, and the attacking midfield role, and yet has been unable to show he should remain part of his plans.
