Manchester United winger Antony has been under increasing scrutiny from fans and the media since his big-money move from Ajax.
During Erik ten Hag’s first summer as Manchester United manager, the Dutchman decided that Antony was the man to solve their problems on the right-hand side, with Jadon Sancho struggling during the 2021/22 campaign.
However, Antony became one of United’s most expensive transfer deals of all time but it would be fair to say he has not hit the heights expected of him.

United winger Antony was born on the 24th of February 2000 in Osasco, São Paulo, and grew up in Inferninho, a favela far from the city centre.
During his childhood years, Antony grew up in the favelas and played football wherever he could and would watch Sao Paulo games with his aunt.

Antony is 1.79 metres tall or 5 foot and 9 inches tall. For a winger, the Brazilian’s height is to be expected with the 24-year-old certainly agile.

Following his transfer from Ajax in 2022, Antony was given the number 21 shirt at united, which is the same number he wore at the Dutch Giants.
Edinson Cavani previously wore Antony’s shirt in the 2021/22 season and then Welsh winger Daniel James did before that.

Antony’s wages at United are reportedly £200,000 a week which would put him in the top five for the highest salaries at Old Trafford.

United paid £81 million to Ajax to land Antony and the Brazilian remains the Red Devils’ second most expensive signing in their history behind Paul Pogba.

Antony’s wife is Rosilene Silva, who is also from Brazil, and the pair met during their teenage years but it is unclear how long the pair have been together.

Antony’s parents are Mr Dos Santos and his mother is Cremilda Prudencio. The United winger also has two siblings with a sister and a brother, by the name of Emerson Santos.

On the 8th of November 2019, Antony and wife Rosilene welcomed their son, Lorenzo Dos Santos, into the world.
As well as this, Antony and his partner are now expecting a second child after they announced they were expecting in January of 2024.

Brazilian winger Antony has a rather memorable celebration with the L formed with his fingers in tribute to his son Lorenzo. As well as this, the Brazilian also does the L celebration for a young girl named Larissa who is recovering from cancer.
During United’s 1-1 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford, Antony broke through to hand the Red Devils the lead. Antony has explained the celebration for United which involved lifting up a Sonic The Hedgehog toy.
Antony allegations
In 2023, Antony was accused of domestic abuse by his former partner Gabriela Cavallin, Sky News reported. He was never arrested or charged.
Antony denied all allegations and in August 2024, Brazilian newspaper Globo reported that police in Brazil have ended their investigation, with no action to be taken.
