Manchester United have been one of the country’s busiest clubs during the January transfer window. Even though they haven’t officially unveiled any new signings, the Red Devils could conclude several deals between now and next week’s Deadline Day.
There are just three days in the window, but the Red Devils could yet see their squad change. Marcus Rashford wants to join Barcelona, with Alejandro Garnacho still a target for Chelsea.
The club could be busy in terms of incomings too. Ruben Amorim is closing in on his first signing after United reached an agreement with Lecce to sign Patrick Dorgu.
Strangely, the defender has yet to fly to Manchester for his medical, but the reason for the delay has now become clear.

Reason for Patrick Dorgu’s delayed Man United medical revealed
Despite United agreeing to sign Dorgu for around £25 million earlier in the week, fans have been forced to wait on the player’s medical.
There doesn’t appear to be any problems with the player or the deal, but up until now, it hasn’t been made clear why the 20-year-old is still in Italy.
Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth has provided the answers we’ve all been looking for though.
During negotiations, Lecce made it known they wanted to keep Dorgu for Friday night’s Serie A clash away to Parma.
Lecce are embroiled in a tense relegation battle at the bottom of the Serie A table, and although Parma sit two places above them in 16th, the sides are level on 20 points.
Separated only on goal difference, Friday’s clash at the Ennio Tardini Stadium is a big one in the race for top-flight survival.
Ineos taking big gamble
It is understandable why Lecce wanted to keep Dorgu for Friday’s game against Parma but Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos have definitely taken a gamble by agreeing to it.
Because the game between Parma and Lecce doesn’t kick off until 7.45 p.m. (UK time), we don’t know if Dorgu will start or be named on Marco Giampaolo’s bench.
However, likely to play a part in the important matchup, fans will be keeping everything crossed that the young Denmark international can remain injury-free.
Injury could not only dash Dorgu’s hopes of moving to Old Trafford, but Amorim would be forced back to the drawing board with just three days left in the window.
Far from ideal.
