Barcelona are exploring different options which would allow them to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford this month.
Marcus Rashford has now failed to appear in Manchester United’s last 10 games across all competitions since Ruben Amorim’s Manchester derby snub.
Just hours after being dropped from the derby, an interview surfaced where Rashford claimed he was open to a new challenge. Since then, he has held talks with several clubs including Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
Rashford’s dream move is to Barcelona, but the Spanish giants struggled to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor so would struggle to find space for Rashford’s £300,000 per week wages.
United chiefs are open to offers for Rashford this month but it is yet to be seen whether a move to Barcelona is possible.

Barcelona’s transfer plan to sign Marcus Rashford
After holding talks with his camp, Barcelona told Rashford they can’t sign him due to registration issues. There is simply no space in their squad.
However, one potential option is to sell a first-team player this month and reports from Spain suggest it could be a United transfer target who is made available.
According to Mundo Deportivo, former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is considering leaving Barcelona in pursuit of regular game time.
The Danish defender has recently returned from a lengthy Achilles injury but only made the bench for Barca’s latest La Liga clash against Getafe.
The report claims selling Christensen could be a solution to Barcelona’s financial problems which would allow them to pursue a Rashford deal this month. With only a week of the January window remaining, time is of the essence.
Man United interest in Andreas Christensen
Centre-back is one of several positions that Ruben Amorim wants to improve at United in 2025, and there have been several targets linked with a move to Old Trafford.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United are “seriously interested” in Christensen while Juventus also share an interest.

United could enter talks with Barcelona over a separate deal for Christensen as it would pave an exit route for Rashford this month. Alternatively, if Juventus pursue a deal then Rashford’s hopes of a dream Barcelona move could be reignited.
A message to fans published this week revealed that United are at risk of breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules. With Rashford clearly out of Amorim’s plans, the club will surely want to get a deal over the line sooner rather than later.
